PHIL
I have been following you for many years, You are a great golfer and you can pull the most spectacular shots off when you need them.
I just found out that my mother may have lung cancer so I know what you are feeling with your wife and mother. Just keep thinking positive and everything will be fine.
I have noticed that when you are playing good your swing always ends up towards the flag and when you off it is going in different directions.
Always keep thinking that your left hand should always go toward the flag. that even goes for putting. If you are pushing the ball like you do alot of when the putter is not working it is because you are not letting your right hand to follow thru.
Have you ever thought of shortening your follow thru the ball towards the flag.
When you are hitting the ball good your follow thru is higher and the back of your right hand is straight at the flag.

Phil,
Congratulations on the strong finish. My personal hope for you is two fold... 1) Beat Tiger and 2) Don't let a UofA player finish ahead of you. Success on both counts! I think what is great about you is that you really seem to enjoy the game. Now go home and take care of Amy and your family.
God bless you all,
Larry

Phil and Amy. God bless you both. I am a photographer and golf instructor at a little 9 hole course in west Sonoma, Calif. Los Arroyos Golf Club.

That aside, my middle aged son, Paul, went through treatment for Osteogenic Sarcoma at the age of fifteen. He had two surgeries to replace his femur and right knee. A screw sheared off which required the second surgery I speak of. His prognosis was not good. He is now 28 and getting married and a child is on the way. He was supposed to be sterile from the experimental chemo. In a sentence, he has come back and completed the circle back to life. Knowing that I am going to be a Grandfather for the second time and is, in my thoughts, a gift from our Creator for prayer and love.

I will pray for Amy and you and your daughters. I know, very well, that this is going to be an emotional roller coaster. I know all about the treatment and want you to keep your head up for your daughters as your wife and family goes through this treatment. The chemo has come a long way and I know that you have been apprised of all of the medical ups and downs of this struggle.

My wife is a nurse of exceptional knowledge and I am a Dad with exceptional knowledge of all of this. You are welcome to email me should you want to.

I am not a great fan of TV golf so I see you there only rarely. I am a fan of a family going through the uncertainties that you are entering in to. If I, or my wife, can help, let us know.

I watched the Open at the Black for a while this PM. Tough stuff. It is good that you are taking time off.

I wish you God Speed and your wife the best outcome. Your daughters will need you.

Hi Phil,
Another day(Jun. 19th) and I'm sure you are as exhausted as I am, I feel I play every hole with you. You played great today except for your putting, you always have the head of the putter up, and you lean right over the ball, you need to get the head flat or maybe a shorter putter and I think you would make every shot. What do I know, I just love to watch you, and I'm old enough to be your mother. I will be pulling for you tomorrow and praying for Amy.

You will do great
